I posted a logger for MODBUS and code that can be used with it. I have used it for testing quite a bit. It's easy to import the data into excel to generate graphs for examination.
I like Portmon - it is not a terminal emulator, but captures everything that goes between your remote device and the PC comm program you use. Nice thing is that it shows all port transactions (including port setups) and timing information. Of course since it shows so much info it can get quite verbose. Does printer port too.
Hello neuton, i'm a begineer from CCS forum... i'm interested in your modbus data logger.exe file, can u send it to me because the site you provide was unavailable already. this is me e-mail:handsprince_liaw@yahoo.com thank you

Try TeraTerm. FreeWare/Shareware program with many more features than HyperTerm. There is even a scripting language you can use with it.
