PS/2 Keyboard + PIC16F84A
PostPosted: Tue Mar 07, 2006 9:48 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,

I am new in MCUs. In my project, I am using a pic16f84a to decode a ps/2 keyboard and print the pressed key in the hyperterminal.

The ps/2 keyboard is connected in the pin 3 (keyboard data) and in the pin 6 (keyboard clock) of the pic16f84a. The TXD signal is the output of the pic (pin 17) and this sigal is connectedto the MAX232 (pin 11).

So, anybody can help me, please? I am programming in C.

Thanks
Humberto

To start with, you will get info regarding PS/2 Protocol to interface with a PIC here:

http://www.fiacopetti.it/host_ps2_part1.htm

It will be good for you because it has this option:
"Fare click qui per la versione Italiana" Shocked
