+M
Generate a symbol file (.SYM)
Unfortunately, I do not use MPLAB. Perhaps the wrong version of the compiler is being used (PIC16 vs PIC18)? |

That's not the real compiler version. You got that number by
right-clicking on the .EXE file and viewing the Properties.
The real version will be a number like 3.148, or 3.242, etc.
Can you post the real version ?
There are at least three ways to find it:
1. Compile a test file, and look at the top of the .LST file, which will
be in your project folder. It will show the version.
2. Click on Start/Programs, and then find the entry for CCS.
It might be called "PIC-C". Then click on the icon for "Compiler Version".
2. Open a DOS window and go to c:\Program Files\Picc
and run this command line: CCSC +v |

Also, you can get the "+M" error if you use an older version of the CCS
compiler with a recent version of MPLAB. You might have to use
MPLAB vs. 5.70.40 to fix this problem. Either that, or upgrade the
compiler.
You can download the old version of MPLAB here:
http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1406&dDocName=en023073
You can have MPLAB vs. 5.70.40 and vs. 7.xx installed on your system
at the same time. They don't conflict with each other. |
