Help! PIC18F248 and RS232
PostPosted: Tue Feb 07, 2006 11:07 pm     Reply with quote

Hello, I am a newbie to the CCS Compiler and circuitry. I am trying to use some of the RS232 examples bundled with the compiler to see if I can get successful communication between my PC and the PIC board. I seem to be only getting a bunch of garbled text. I read in the CCS Manual of the common causes for this, but I can't seem to fix it. My crystal is 14.74mhz. Can anyone help me out with a schematic for how to wire this thing up? Any help whatsoever would be appreciated! Thanks!
