setting optimization level
PostPosted: Wed Jan 25, 2006 3:10 pm     Reply with quote

Hello,

I cannot find any documentation as to how to set the compiler flags for optimization in CCS. Does this compiler even support different optimization levels or is there only the "default". I want to tell the compiler to optimize for code density if possible.

Download the CCS manual and look in the section on #OPT:

#opt

It defaults to a high setting, and on some recent versions which offer new high levels, it is necessary to turn the compiler 'down', in this regard, or programs have been failing (going down to the old maximum of #opt 9).
It is in the manual.

Best Wishes
