What programmer/software is best for programming EEPROM?

Hi-
I'm using a JDM programmer and PonyProg to program i2c eeproms 24LC256 and 24LC128. The trouble is that I don't know if I'm using P.P. right as I get 'wierd' results.
What do you all use?
