Help needed to understand RS-485

I am going to use RS485 protocol and CCS RS485.c driver in my application. It is a very new concept for me to use it.
Has any one send me sample application to use RS485.c driver like below example.

I have 3 Pics which are 18F6722 (or like) I wish to exchange some informatin between this 3 PICs and I wish to understand usin addressing between this 3 PICs and how to connect them together and hadle the datas. I will use LTC1685 IC to use RS485..

You have several problems to overcome. Look at this thread to get some ideas for how you plan to do this.
