I need to program the low voltage version of the 16C771, specifically the 16LC771. Question, in my compiler, do I pick the 16C771 chip option or do I need to upgrade MPLAB and my CCS library to list the 16LC771.

Just select "16C771". There is no separate setting in CCS or MPLAB
for the "LC" part.

do I need different firmware for the PicStart Plus? or just use the 16C771 setting?
