USB with ftdi chip, 16F873
PostPosted: Wed Sep 28, 2005 6:29 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I want to transmit Data from a PIC16F873 to the PC. I have a FT232 Chip for converting RS232 to USB. But it does not work. I can read the Serial-Number of the FTDI-Chip and I can write the EEPROM wich is connected to the FTDI. The uC sends data to the USB-Chip but nothing is transmitted to the PC.
Does anyone have sample code or a description to figure out where the problem is in my program? What program kann I use to read the data on USB?

Thanks

Olaf

USE FTDI as your resource. They have schematics, and sample code.
http://www.ftdichip.com/Documents/Schematics.htm
mprog http://www.ftdichip.com/Resources/Utilities.htm
d2xx for vb or .net http://www.ftdichip.com/Documents/ProgramGuides/D2XXPG30.pdf
or virtual com port option. And then use a serial program like siow
