Using a software and hardware Uart
PostPosted: Sat Sep 10, 2005 12:00 am     Reply with quote

I'm a little bit confused about how to setup a software uart that
won't interfere with the hardware uart. Setting up the hardware
uart for my P18f452 was very straight-forward. But, How would
I, for example setup rs232 out for PIN_A5? For instance, when
doing a printf, how would I specify the SW as opposed to the
HW uart? The PCW manual isn't exactly clear and google is
returning much more complicated results then I need, I.e.
rs232 SW interupts. If anyone could point out some example
code out there on the net for me I'd be very grateful.

Sorry for the newbie question, thanks in advance for any
replies.
