MPlab compiling wrong file

I think this is a simple question:
I use MPlab version 7.x with the CCS compiler. So I have a project set up with all of my source files and header files. The problem is that when I click complile, it always runs the CCS compiler with the first file that is listed in the project source files, which happens to be an alphabetical listing. So it usually is not the "most significant" source file and I get an error.

The only way I can get around this is by giving my "most significant" source file a filename that is ahphabetically first.

What is the right way to tell MPLAB which file it is supposed to send to the compiler when it compiles?

There is no linker for CCS. You don't setup a CCS project
the same way as for MPASM. See this thread:
