USB using 18F4550 and C++ Builder 5.0
PostPosted: Wed Aug 24, 2005 5:33 pm     Reply with quote

Hi...I have run the ex_usb_hid.c example from CCS using 18F4550.
I just got the latest update for the CCS PCH compiler. I have make
one simple circuit without RS232 connections and thus removed RS232
code from the example program and it is working fine. Means when I turn
on the power supply in the PC "Device Manager" it is displaying
icons "Human Interface Device" having two more options under it
i.e. HID-Complient Device
USB Human Interface Device

Now I want to make a PC side program using C++ Builder 5.0 to
communicate with 18F4550 . Can anybody have code or any idea ,
How can I make that code?

I got USB Kit from CCS but it is having 16F877 and USBN9604 .
I got HIDmaker software for USB but same it can generate code for
USBN9604 not for 18F4550.

Can anybody please guide me to ahead?

I bought the PICDEM FS USB from Microchip a few weeks ago, but I haven't looked into it. It runs the PIC18F4550 just like your chip.

It actually gives PC-based C++ programs, hopefully the ones you need, if you download the files from the Microchip website.
