OT: DTMF, modems, phones...

I see that CCS has example programs for DTMF, as well as a lot of threads that deal with DTMF.

I've got a question about the hardware. What is required so that a PIC can communicate like a modem AND also act like an automated attendant so that if a person calls into the system, a voice will instruct them what keys to press with a touchtone phone?

Are there any PIC-based demo kits to do such a thing?

Thanks. I guess a PIC can control their ICs after all.

For what you are wanting, you'd probably have to use a dsPic. They have software modem libraries or of course use thirdparty chips.
