is there a way to write some information in internal PIC EEprom using ICSP and pic programmer? I'd like to write a serial number in eeprom and the i'd like to read it without reading and writing all the PIC code.
I need a fater way to write data in PIC.
I also would like to protect this number written in eeprom.
thanks

Of course. But a serial number might be better stored in the ID locations.

How can I write the ID location? how many carachters can i write in it?
what i'd like to do is: write this number in eeprom and protect it. so i could read it only from pic and visualize it as binary code in led indicator.
