How to use more timers??

Dear all,

I am currently using PIC16F876 timer 1 to count the incoming pulses of(150kHz maximum) in a second. Timer 0 is used to count the 1 second interval.

I am also using 555 monostable timer to supply clocks (high time of 6.5us) to my PIC to start receiving data within 6.5us after every HIGH
EDGE TRIGGER from a sensor.

Now, I am thinking of replacing the 555 timer with the PIC program. Any idea of how to achieve this?

Why don't you use Timer2?
