74HC595 74HC165 using same 3 pins

Can I use (2)74HC595 and (2)74HC165 using same 3 pins??
1.clk 2.data 3.enable

How would they be wired?
I found this on the web? Anyone use this?

Yes you can connect Clk and Data to both IC
without sharing the CE
(chip enable)
You must wire a dedicated line for every CE
