Manually modifying the project file (*.pjt)
PostPosted: Tue Feb 22, 2005 1:17 pm     Reply with quote

I have a project that can use one of 2 different PICs. So I made 2 different project files and my code is written to account for processor differences. BUT I would like the hex files to get written to two different names. So I modifled my project file like this:

ORIGINAL:

[PROJECT]
Target=Aura_PSGboot.HEX
Development_Mode=
Processor=0x0052
ToolSuite=CCS

MODIFIED TO:

[PROJECT]
Target=Aura_PSGboot_452.HEX
Development_Mode=
Processor=0x0052
ToolSuite=CCS

I thought that my project would simply write to the new hex file name.
Nope...it still writes to the original name.

Anyone ever try anything like this?

Hi Guest,

Aura_PSGboot.HEX is a by-product formated output of Aura_PSGboot.C hence to get

Aura_PSGboot_452.HEX you must rename the source as

Aura_PSGboot_452.C then creating a new project with this name you will get

Aura_PSGboot_452.PJT
