PIC18F2331 QEA and QEB encoder input help...

Hi,

Can someone help me with reading the encoder value from QEA/QEB pin?

Really appreciate if someone can help me....

I looked at the data sheet for that PIC. Those two pins go
to the Quadrature Encoder inside the PIC. They're used
internally to give you velocity or position information.
In other words, you don't read those pins directly, instead
you read the Velocity registers or the Position Counter registers.
One appnote gives a formula for calculating the velocity, based
on the value of the Velocity registers.
To do this project, you need to read every appnote on this page:
