How to address data EEPROM above 255 Byte
PostPosted: Thu Jan 13, 2005 8:14 am     Reply with quote

The PIC 18Fxx20 series has 1024 Bytes data EEPROM. My CCS PCWH compiler help file tells me, the C routines

write_eeprom(address,value) and
read_eeprom(address,value)

supports 8 bit int addresses. Does this routine also support address values above 255 respectively how can I address the memory area above 255 byte?

Should be 16 bit for those devices. Try it and see. The help file is probably wrong.
