Oddity in latest 18F452 header file

With the release of 3.215 or 3.216 (I think; not sure which), I found this in the 18F452.h device header:

Code:
long CCP_1;
#byte   CCP_1    =                      0x15         
#byte   CCP_1_LOW=                      0x15         
#byte   CCP_1_HIGH=                     0x16         
#byte   CCP_1    =                      0xfbe       
#byte   CCP_1_LOW=                      0xfbe       
#byte   CCP_1_HIGH=                     0xfbf


Does this look odd to anyone else? Doesn't this essentially make the 0x15 and 0x16 specifications moot?

Looks like they screwed up the header files again. Why they keep touching them, I don't know.

The duplication of CCP_1 is in the 18F6525 header also.

The header files are re-generated with each release to incorporate any changes made to the devices.dat. An employee of CCS doesn't actually write, or edit, each header file.

It was OK in V3.214 as you see here:
long CCP_1;
#byte CCP_1 = 0xfbe
#byte CCP_1_LOW= 0xfbe
#byte CCP_1_HIGH= 0xfbf

I dumped V3.16 yesterday because delay_ms(1000) does not not work.

Fix one thing break two things... Progress like that should end up taking us back to version 1.0.

V3.215 is correct. Luckily too. I'm designing a new project using the F452 and haven't installed 3.216 yet.

Even if you don't touch the .DAT files, all header files get re-generated for that release. The generater borked for some reason. If you have a problem I suggest e-mailing tech support.

PS - The .dat holds more information that's in the headerfile. It also includes information about debugging (ICD) and programming (Mach-X)
