Hi,

Are there high capacity I2C based serial eeproms ( say 512 KB or more ).
Microchip supplies a 512 KB memory..

Ramtron goes to 256kbit and has both I2C and SPI models. A 1Mbit part was previewed on November 9, 2004.

For much higher densities you might consider MMC flash cards which are SPI compatible and currently available up to 1Gbyte.

Go to Atmel´s site, and check for AT45DB021B and others.
They´re SPI, easy to use, large capacity, and very very cheap.
