timer0 16 bit mode
PostPosted: Tue Nov 02, 2004 9:20 am     Reply with quote

I can't get timer0 to use the entire 16 bits. TO8BIT in T0CON is 0 but the timer rolls over at FF. I used the setup_timer_0 function to set the prescaler and clock source. If I use the RTCC_8_BIT to set it up for 8 bit mode then the interrupt works. If I let it default to 16 bit mode the counter justs rolls over at FF with no interrupt occuring. The device I'm targetting does have a 16bit timer0.

Are you simulating the code in mplab?

If yes, this is a known bug.
