hi, all,
For time critical application, what do you use for data storage? I used to use FRAM from ramtron. Although performance not bad, i want to have more choices. Would you recommend?
Thanks.

Battery backed-up NVRAM |

If you're concerned about the the time it takes to save to EEPROM, and want something as fast as the RAM in the PIC, then you should use battery-backed up NVRAM. It is an SGS-thomson chip that was embedded in a powerpc-based single board computer board that I used. 8 lines are connected to it. Just specify the address, read/write, and write to that location. No waiting. |
