Frequency measurement w/ PIC
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2004 11:14 am     Reply with quote

Colleagues,

I have to measure frequency in the range between 0.5 - 1 MHz. Is it possible to do this with just PIC's CCP hardware?

Thanks,
Nick

In a word yes it can be done. The 1MHz might be a problem if the pic isn't running fast enough. For that broad a range, it is not a cut and dry reading of the ccp reg. You will have to do a little creative programming and probably expand the ccp reg in software.
