EX_SISR.C, input problem.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 14, 2004 6:48 pm     Reply with quote

I wrote an little program to get an input char and then print it in a loop. Well that didnt work so I tried the EX_SISR.C program. I can print out the information but I doesnt seem like I can send it.

Here is what I have dont to test the connection:

1)
I hooked up a LED to the recieving pin on the pic16f876, I turned the baud down th 1200. I did this so I could see if the LED would strobe when I gave it input. It strobes when I press the keys quickly and its constantly on no keys are pressed.

2)
I figured it could be the caps, so I removed all the caps and it would do the same thing. The pic sends data throught serial port fine, but I still cant get it to recieve.

I have a max232n. which is between the serial connector and the pic.

Anyone have any ideas that I can test to figure out the problem?
