www.ic-prog.com

The programmer and lots of schematics.

I have used JDM to program 18f452, 16f867 and 16f877a with no problems.

Click on the screen capture of the software in the middle of the page. Then look at the left hand side list. One of the first links takes you to a list of links pointing to schematics.

I got that scheme and built it long time ago, and I did program it with 16f84 and 628... all small chip is oki. However, as I connect to the larger socket, it caused problems. And I would like to be sure about that.

socket 18 = socket 40:

pin 4 = pin 1 = mclr
pin 5 = pin 12 = vss
pin 14 = pin 11 = vdd
pin 13 = pin 40 = rb7
pin 12 = pin 39 = rb6

I connect it directly, so is it right?

You need to connect rb3 to gnd through a 100ohms resistor.
