If I order a couple PIC16F877A's from Digikey, which should I get, they list like 30 of them, which would be most standard for developing a project them making it.

It depends on what package you need. For developement you'll probably want to get a 40 pin DIP package (PIC16F877A-I/P). It seems they all come with the same maximum speed ratings and temperature range. If you need a low power part, order the LF instead of F (PIC16LF877A-I/P).

microchip also offers free samples.. they are not as quick as Digikey, but may be worth a look still Smile
