Modifying the TRIS register.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 19, 2004 2:48 pm     Reply with quote

Is it possible to modify a single bit of the TRIS register at a time?

Such as:
Code:
#define TRIS 0x85
#define INPUT_PIN 1
#define OUTPUT_PIN 0
#bit bidirectional_pin=TRIS.0
.
.
.
bidirectional_pin=INPUT_PIN          // PIN_A0 is an input
.
.
.
bidirectional_pin=OUTPUT_PIN       // PIN_A0 is an output

Is this possible? Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks,
Doug
