Why doesn't the +A compiler option work?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 05, 2004 11:26 am     Reply with quote

I'm using PCH 3.182 and it just will not give me the STA file. I need to know my stack levels.

This is my command line;

    "C:\Program Files\PICC\Ccsc.exe" +FH +P1 +A +T +EA -EW -J -D +M +STDOUT file.c
[/list]

I've never been able to make that work with the command line
compilers. Maybe it only works with PCW or PCWH ?

Anyway, you can see the stack levels by looking at the top of
the .LST file.

According to this page:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/pcwide.shtml

The statistics file creation is only supported in PCW and PCWH.

I knew there must be a reason.

Remember there is nothing in the STA file that you can not also extract from the LST/SYM file. The latter two contain all the information you need.
