Looking for graphic LCD with touchscreen for use with PIC

I'm starting a new project that would work best using a graphic LCD with a touchscreen. Has anyone done something like this and could steer me in the right direction to get started?

You can get palm IIIx PDA's for junk yard prices $20 or less on E-bay.
Palm has just about abandoned the users of these devices so non technical users run into simple problems think th PDA's are broken and sell them for dirt on E-bay. They interface nicely via RS232. and even via
TCPIP ...you can get what were $250 ethernet interfaces for under $1.
There was a good article in circuit cellar months back about this approach.
Not cheap - but they have their own processor so you can offload all the display drawing to the module. I have played with one a bit - nice display -good features, easy to deal with.

i have used the amulette technologies touch screen. its is very nice! and very quick to learn. everything is programmed in a reduced version of html. it comes with many canned symbols, but if you want to make your own you need a vector editor such as paintshop and an html editor such as Namo webeditor.
