PIC18(L)F26K22 MAX CLOCK
PostPosted: Sat Nov 13, 2021 8:53 am     Reply with quote

Hi all.

I am about to start a new development based on PIC18(L)F26K22. I simple need two USARTS, there is no other way once that I could find the GPRS and GPS modules working with I2C.

Reading the PIC18(L)F26K22 datasheet, I can read on page 1 that is possible to run at 64MHz clock, is it really true? Because I saw some discussions on the forum, and somebody said that the max frequency is 40Mhz.

Thanks!

Pages 414 - 416 of the datasheet give you that info. If you won't be running it in an oven or maybe in a car, it only depends on the voltage level you will use. But for temperatures up to 85degC it should work at 64MHz.

yes, 64MHz is possible, BTDT for years....
BTW, be sure you have a GOOD power supply when using ANY RF device though. Some need LOT of amps while transmitting.....

Ok.
It shall run inside a car; I think there will be no problem.
I will enjoy this acquisition opportunity and also replace an old 18F2550 running at 48MHz in another development, for sure it will give an even better result to update an LCD screen running at 64MHz.
Thank you all.
