I'm working on a project that uses the 16F737 and am unable to detect the processor with the ICD-U40. I am able to read the device ID which is 0BA1. The supported devices utility indicates that the 16f737 series should be supported but 0BA1 is not recognised. Is it possible that only 0BA0 (revision number 0) is supported, and if so, is there any other way to program the processor (I'm using PCM so I don't have chipedit.exe to update the device myself)?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Wiebe.

I don't see the PIC16F737 listed under http://www.ccsinfo.com/icddevices.shtml so that might be part of your problem. In the "advanced" section of the ICD program you should be able to enter a device name and "assign". Since it doesn't look like the PIC16F737 is supported, you could try a different chip that might be similar to program.
