I have a project in which I need to call some #asm routines written by Microchip. I am taking something they wrote for one purpose and adapting it to other purposes. The #asm routines are quite complex, and I do not want to port them to C, just call them and pass them variables.
I remember there is a way to accomplish this, but can't seem to dredge up the right keywords to find it and can only remember half of it.
First there is the issue of passing variables from C to Asm, with an underline character??
There also seems to be an issue about EXTERN and GLOBAL variables however i can't quite recall this either.
Hopefully someone can point me to some documentation that discusses all this stuff.
Thanks

CCS has no linker, so most of the things you mentioned don't
apply to CCS.
If you can give a link to the Microchip appnote, we could look at
the code and give you some ideas.
