New devices

Hi

Can I add new devices to the PCM compiler or do I have to upgrade the compiler every time Microchip introduce a new device.

If I can add new devices, how do I do it?

It depends on what the device is.
The 'device editor' (part of PCW), allows you to change the values for a device (addresses used for peripherals, amount or ROM/RAM etc.). In the event that the new device is just a 'derivative/upgrade' of an existing device, this can be used to create a new device. However if the new device is more complex than this, a compiler upgrade becomes necessary.

Best Wishes
