.cof file problem again
PostPosted: Tue Feb 17, 2004 7:11 pm     Reply with quote

hi, all,
I am using MPLAB 6.40 and PCW 1.094v. Each time I clicked "compile", one small window always came out, stating "Failed to load xx.cof file".
This problem has been posted before. Do anyone know the solution? Thanks in advance.

This thread gives two possible solutions.
I had this problem and fixed it by the 2nd one.
ie., Remove printf statements until the error goes away.

When I removed the "printf" statements, it still failed to load the .cof file.
But as I right clicked the c file and changed the Debug Option to "none", it became "failed to load the .cod file" instead ???
BTW, My compiler is PCW3.094

I had a similar bad experience last week. This problem started when I installed MPLAB 6.40 without removing MPLAB 6.1 that was on my syatem. Then I had to remove all previous installations and reinstall MPLAB 6.40 and the problem disappeared.
Hope this works out for our case.
