Older compiler

My compiler is version 3.089 and the windows IDE is version 3.12. I can't get it to integrate with MPLAB 6.40. The compiler keeps trying to find MPLAB.INI which is nowhere on my hard drive. Is there a fix besides buying the newer compiler or switching to the older MPLAB?

Download the MPLAB 6.x plugin file from here:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/download.shtml

But I'm not sure if all the features will work with your old compiler.
