mplab 6.12 - pcm - win98

[Vidal]

After executing the "mplab6.exe" to install the pcm within the mplab 6 in a W98-SE system, I receive this error:

- The following files failed to self-register:
Suite_CCSPic.dll

Any suggestions ?

PS.: With XP it runs ok !!

Hi,
an outdated Win DLL is the cause. You should use Version 3.00.8449 or newer of the ATL.DLL . If you don't find a source, the CCS guys will send you one for sure.

Thanks for that advice! For some reason the one on my
laptop is dated 2/26/01, 21k, and version 2. But on
the desktop ... 6/01/99, 73k, the 3.00.8449, and
best of all, it works. So don't be fooled by the
file date like I was.
