hello
I have searching the forum looking for various topics and today I came across a topic I had been looking for months ago and the original poster was told to enter a certain string and press search and the post he was looking for would be in the list near the top , I have tried this and many other search topics and SEARCH does not appear to filter correctly the search strings entered , can some one please say if the search on this forum works or not as this has been a constant source of irritation to me as I don't seem to be able to find articles on which I am sure have been posted on in the past , my search parameters are wide open but I never seem to get a hit on what ever I am looking for .... wonder what am I doing wrong as I cant find many search topics other posters are pointing to as being on the forum under particular search string values .
thanks dara hayes

The search feature on this forum is very limited. Perhaps it's still working but I have moved to using Google as it gives me much better hits.
On Google precede your search items by the following literal text:
site:ccsinfo.com/forum
This will give you only the search results for the CCS forum website.
For example to search for the CRC16 routine:
site:ccsinfo.com/forum CRC16

Give us an example of what you want to find, and give us the search
string you used with the forum's search engine. I agree that Google
can be more precise and work better.
