Hi All,
Can anyone who has V5 tell me if there is a updated TCP\IP stack included?
Also, is there support for the inbuilt graphics controllers?
Thanks |

Don't know on the updated TCPIP stack. My guess is: Probably not.
Microchip has updated the TCPIP stack (from which the CCS was created) -- but are way ahead of CCS's stack at this point (MCHP TCPIP v3.75).
As for the graphics controller(s), those/that would be the PIC24FJ256DA210 ... and the chip is supported, but I don't see any parms in the .H file.
So does that mean you can use the chip and make graphical things? yes. Of course.
Does that mean CCS has written easy to use functions to make all that happen. Apparently not yet.
If you're not tied to CCS, you can download XC16 (the student version) and use that with Microchip's source library for the DA210.
They have all sorts of routines ready to go and tools to help build UI's for touch screens and such.

I still remember when CCS said they would fix V4 so it would compile the MC
stack...guess they never were able to do that. _________________ Google and Forum Search are some of your best tools!!!! |

Well, that's a downer...
Sorry, I should of been more clear about the graphics controller. I was asking if there are any "in built" functions to control it, which you answered anyway.
I am currently using XC16, but it is not as nice as CCS. I would love to use just one tool set.
I guess I will keep waiting before renewing my licence.
Thanks |
