I am trying to program a PIC24F32KA301 CPU and I get the following error from the CCSLOAD routine:
12:26:00 Attempting to connect
12:26:01 Scanning file: c:\vibration\vl-ver6_with_usb-rev0\vl_rev_6.hex
12:26:01 Assigning chip: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:01 Loaded: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:02 Scanning file: c:\vibration\vl-ver6_with_usb-rev0\vl_rev_6.hex
12:26:02 Assigning chip: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:02 Loaded: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:02 Assigning chip: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:02 Loaded: PIC24F32KA301
12:26:02 Write FILE -> CHIP
12:26:03 Download failed - Chip Detect.
12:26:03 Setting Vpp=0"
If I close the PCW HD 4.14 compiler, disconnect the ICD-U64 programmer, then restart the program and reconnect the ICD-U64 programmer, I can program the unit 2 - 3 times before the same problem begins again. Any thoughts? |

I'm not sure how closely related they are, but I am using a PIC24F32KA304 (and 302). I've found the most recent ICD-U64 firmware doesn't work well with those chips, so I found an older revision (I want to say rev 2.87) and haven't found any issues.
I would suggest contacting CCS support and letting them know. They are generally very helpful with things like this. |
