Can you start from the CCS supplied kbd.c and expand it? Mike

Also look here for a 4x4 keypad driver:

Remember to put 10K pullup resistors on the row pins. Or, if you are
using the keypad on PortB, then you can enable the PortB pullups in the
PIC and that will work.
