Hi guys, I am not understanding very well the difference between the Prescaler and the Postscaler, at the end, they seem to be the same thing for me.
For example, if I have a 2:1 Prescaler and a 2:1 Postscaler, isnt it the same as having a 4:1 Prescaler and no Postscaler?

They are both dividers.
Yes, you can look at dual 2:1's as a single 4:1... but there's also a reason for adding them to the front and back of event generators.
So as long as you understand that, you have the right idea.

I think I got myself the answer...if you are reading the timer and thus want more resolution in your timer, you can keep a good resolution and still only interrupt later, having this way a "simulated longer timer".
If I am wrong or if my answer wasnt clear, please let me know,
