RA8835 LCD Controller Driver (or similar Epson driver)?
PostPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2012 5:33 am     Reply with quote

I am using CCS PCW 4.071 and want to us an 18F family PIC to drive a 320 X 240 LCD that has an onboard RA8835 controller. My intent is to display graphic images on these displays; text, scrolling, and other features are a minor issue (not needed at this point).

I have been through the forum posts and have seen some "old" discussion of one or more RA8835 drivers. The most recent post I found critiqued a driver posted by a forum member that was said to work; the critique noted several lines of inefficient code.

I also found posts noting the Epson SED1335 driver would work for the RA8835 controller. But later posts noted bugs in CCS's SED1335 driver and offered several "fixes."

Now to my questions. Does the latest release of the CCS Compiler include the "updated" SED1335 driver (i.e., has CCS incorporated the bug fixes)? Or, is there a reliable and efficient RA8835 driver available somewhere?

Thank you in advance for your courtesy.
