Installing PCWD Demo ver while I have PCWH Registered ver
PostPosted: Thu Mar 15, 2012 10:16 am     Reply with quote

I have registered version of PCWH install on my PC. We want to attempt to modify and build code for PIC24 device which requires PCWD. We are not sure if we want to use this device so I got the PCWD demo version.

The person who told me where to get the demo version warned me that I have to completely remove the registered version first, even to clear out the temporary files and recycle bin.

This is quite a hindrance to my productivity. I need to still work on current code AND experiment with getting the code to work on the new controller.

Is there a real solution to this?

There shouldn't be any conflicts or problems providing you install them in different directories.
I have several versions of the the compilers here dating back to PCMv2.5xx.....
