Measure mains power frequency resolve to 0,01Hz
PostPosted: Fri Jul 15, 2011 2:48 am     Reply with quote

Hi all,

I want to built my own frequency meter to measure the mains power frequency (50Hz) and display it with four 7segments led (format as XX.XX Hz).

I intend to built a zero-crossing detecting circuit (I have some in hand) and put the pulse to uC.

Please help me the code because I'm a newbie with PIC uC.
(...and tell me how the accuracy we could get?)

Many thanks in front!

There's lots of examples on the forum to describe how to build/code what you want.

Did you even do a search yet?

Don't be lazy - give it a shot.

When you have an example of YOUR OWN CODE (not someone else's you want us to convert for you) -- and it's not working, give us a shout.

You'll need to provide us with:
Your compiler version
Possibly a schematic (please, avoid Proteus, it's proved to be buggy)
A short example showing the problem you're having.

Cheers,

-Ben
