16F1824 start after programming with ICD2 but not with ICD3
PostPosted: Tue Jun 28, 2011 5:05 am     Reply with quote

I'm using the PIC16f1824 with CCS and I have a strange problem.

As DEBUGGER both work fine, I can debug with ICD2 and ICD3 (much faster with ICD3 obviously) but when I use them as PROGRAMMERS, if I use the ICD2 the uC starts automatically but if I program with ICD3 the uC doesn't start.

Could somebody help me with this "stupid" problem?

Thanks to everybody in advance.

I don't know why you're posting this here. You posted the same thing
on the Microchip forum back in April:
http://www.microchip.com/forums/m575005.aspx

If you ICD3 doesn't work, then download the latest version of MPLAB
which will always have the latest firmware for the ICD3 and other
programmers. When you "connect" to the ICD3 it should automatically
download that latest firmware to the unit. That may fix the problem.

If it doesn't fix it, then register on the Microchip Support page and enter
a Trouble Ticket. We (forum members) can't fix the problem on the CCS
page. It's Microchip's problem.
