hello all,
Can I know whether pic18f4550 come along with driver itself inside the pic chip? Or do I need to download the driver from somewhere else. Btw, how much is the price for pic18f4550? One more question, if I wish to connect my pic to my pc, what type of usb cable require? Is it similar to the usb cable which our mouse using? Or we need some type of usb cable to connect to pc.
thanks! |

I think you are confused here. The 18F4550 is a micro-controller, its not a development board or a module. You need to add design and add extra hardware to this micro-controller for supplying power, connectivity to PC via USB or serial port etc.
Visit the microchip site (www.microchip.com), search for your device 18f4550 then view the datasheet for your device.
You can search for ready made hardware solutions like arduino boards on google. You need only basic knowledge to get these boards working.
But if you want to do the real thing, google for PIC related projects, choose a simple one like flashing a LED to understand the basics.
thanks
