Running 4.114 and started to get the above error whenever trying to watch a variable. I have not seen this problem before.
Any ideas? _________________ Al Testani |

I am still unable to use the debugger. In desperation I uninstalled everything and reinstalled and have the same problem.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this I would surely be grateful. _________________ Al Testani |

I never heard of this problem before but here are some suggestions:
1) Upgrade to the latest compiler version (v4.119), maybe this error has been fixed but is not mentioned in the release notes.
2) Report the error to CCS. See top right of this forum for the email address. Mention your Operating System and the procedure for replicating the error.
3) Use MPLAB as an development environment. This is my personal opinion, but I prefer MPLAB with the CCS plugin over the CCS environment. |

I updated to 4.119 and loaded the latest firmware into my ICD-U64. I still have the problem.
I am going to do a total uninstall including registry and any trace of CCS stuff on my computer and then reinstall. _________________ Al Testani |

ccswatch.dll should be in c:\program files\PICC\DLL
or c:\program files\PICC4.xxxx\DLL where xxx is the version Ex. v4.114 |

I resolved this problem by deleting my pcw.ini file and letting PCWH create a fresh one for me. I am still not sure what in that file was causing this but it fixed the problem. I was able to capture my editor settings from the old file by copying over the [fonts] and [colors] keys in the INI file.
I am up and running again.
Thanks to all who responded and especially CCS Support who was very helpful. _________________ Al Testani |
