CCS RTOS stats
PostPosted: Wed Dec 16, 2009 6:47 pm     Reply with quote

I am having trouble with the stats function in the CCS RTOS.

When I remove a chunk of code from a task that is used to write to external EEPROM via the i2c bus the execution time actually increases.

Is the stats functionality of the CCS RTOS at all reliable?

I examined the RTOS code, because I was having similar problems. There are two things to check:
Do any of your tasks overrun? If so, the reported times will be incorrect.
Is more than one task scheduled in the same minor time slice? If so, the times reported for the second will include the time for the first. You can see the schedule of tasks in the symbol file.
