#include file for PIC18F27J53?
PostPosted: Wed Oct 13, 2010 1:07 pm     Reply with quote

Has anyone created an include file for the new PIC18F27J53? I have sample chips but CCS has not added support yet (as of version 4.112).

I tinkered with the CCS "device table editor". I can add a part but it doesn't seem to generate a matching include file.

This is a nice chip. Built in USB and 128K bytes of FLASH.

The device editor, allows you to add support for a chip, but won't generate the include file.
However there is no 'magic' to the include files. Look at a few. Just cut and copy the include file sections from other chips with the same peripherals. I have done this for half a dozen chips in the past, where CCS was slow adding support, without problems.

Best Wishes
